Step By Step
New shot done in the studio and wrapped up today with a step by step process.
I had the random of paper airplanes and being a poor student, I figured it would be a good exercise in being creative out of simple objects when I have no money. I had the idea to somehow illustrate paper planes being a vehicle to fly something away in and came up with the sketch below and the idea to add money.

Where the hell have I been?
After a longer than usual break, here’s whats been going on…
A. I have a new job out in dallas doing retouching and assisting for a studio photographer. This usually means driving to dallas, which is an hours drive. For a full day, I usually leave around 8am and don’t get back until 8pm.That usually means I’m dead tired by the end of the day and getting into the studio for...
Updates soon
I promise I’m not dead and I didn’t fall off the side of the earth. Here’s a photo from the studio recently, going for the 17th century painting still life style…

Update
It’s been a busy couple of weeks, sorry for no update. Below is a light test from the studio from today, wanting to put it in context of another scene
Light Test
I seemingly have red and blue on my mind these days. Test shot in the studio for an idea I have.
Update on New Photo
Sorry for the delay, here’s a step by step process for my last post and the newest photo I’ve shot for my portfolio. I aquired the milk bottles online at I think Crate and Barrel and decorated them with paint the night before by using a turkey baster to control the lines of paint that you see dripping down the side. The wet paint was then added each line at a time and shot, some...

Me? Hog Hunting?
This past weekend was a complete “dudefest”, I joined in on a bachelor party that consisted of hunting hogs friday night and then bringing back the kill and cooking it all day in which to be devoured by 20 men in one house and only one fork to be found all while playing halo all night…
crazy.
the size of the ribs were ridiculous

Had fun shooting this in the studio. Its literally a rolled backdrop sheet. A light-test for an idea thats rolling around in my head
New Portfolio piece and Behind the Scenes
Ok, here’s a breakdown of the photo below and how it came to be.
1. Idea: I got the idea of kids flying kites and that the worst thing that could happen when you fly a kite is getting your kite stuck in a tree. I then had the idea of the dismay and confusion if your kite was to get stuck in a cloud passing by rather than in a tree.
2. Talent/Model: I asked around on facebook from a few...
12:30
It was 12:30 a.m. and I couldn’t sleep, so I went in the studio, an homage to Mr.Toledano
Happy Birthday Grandma Rose
I’ve been gone all day visiting Grandma Rose and helping celebrate her 91st birthday. Hard to believe.
Light Test...Jaime Chung
Light Test done in the studio with minimal and quick editing. This was very much inspired if not almost a direct copy of the lighting and style of Jaime Chung who is an amazing photographer out of Parson’s School of Design and who now shoots for clients like Bloomberg Business Week magazine, Wired Magazine, Times, ect.
I did this emulation as flattery rather than stealing styles from...
Scouting Trip...
This is a mockup from a scouting trip I did today and the idea I have in mind. Looks like I’ll be shooting this on Friday if everything goes according to plan.
Where the hell have I been?
I apologize for the lack of updates these days, it seems that way for most students as the semester gets closer to being finished…
So whats been going on? A lot!
Sculpture class has been a great time and learning lesson. The photo from the previous post was my final sculpture for the semester. This has been where I’ve spent the majority of my time, painting, gluing, clamping,...

For all things new in my life…its been a crazzzyyy time…
A. This past weekend I did a 5k race to shape up a bit for the half marathon this weekend in Dallas to see what kind of shape I was in. Figured I wanted at least in the 19 minute range and was supposed to be in 19:30 shape. The race went much better than expected and I placed 3rd while coming in at 18:49 (my watch said 19:20)...

While waiting on a break in the studio, thought I would share a few updates. Its been a great month so far in terms of awards. I found out I had two pieces accepted into National Student Show, hosted By DSVC (Dallas Society of Visual Communications) and also yesterday found out I had four photos selected for Creative Summit this year, two of which received individual awards! The edition of CMYK...
